Cleaning hard water and soap stains from glass

It’s one of the challenging things to keep the glass cabin clean and shiny. Generally, the hard water and soap leave stains on the glass.

There are different sprays available at the market to clean the glass. However, the odor is too strong and the spray could irritate the eyes too. I have also gone through these issues and found an alternative solution of using toothpaste for cleaning the glass cabin or any glasses with more stains.

Step-by-step cleaning process

You can use expired toothpaste or the toothpaste which you use in your day-to-day life. If you use the costliest toothpaste, you can buy the cheapest toothpaste for less than one euro at any supermarket.

Steps

• Apply the toothpaste as shown in the below image.

• Rub it gently without giving much pressure

• Clean the glass with water. You can see the result below.

It took hardly approximately 2 minutes to get these results without much effort, odor, and any protective instruments like gloves or safety glasses.

Cleaning with water

It’s very important to clean the glass very well with water. If you left uncleaned it well, the toothpaste stain will remain in the glass. You can rub or wipe the glass with a normal cloth without toothpaste once you have rinsed the glass with water. Then you can pour water again to clean the glass. By doing this way, you can ensure that there are no stains on the glass.

Preventing hard water stain

You can’t get rid of the stains completely but you can reduce their impact by following the below methods.

• Use the water filter
• Dry the surface as soon as you have used it. Keeping it dry will helps to reduce the stains.

Cleaning tiles

You can use toothpaste even to clean the bathroom or kitchen tiles. I will not suggest to use on the entire house floor tiles because they could be slippery if you haven’t cleaned them well. You can use it in a small portion if it has too many stains or dirt.
